The story behind the LeNS
Hello, I’m TaNia S.—an international corporate photographer, full-time civil engineer, and proud Prince George’s County native. For over 15 years, I’ve used my camera to tell stories, celebrate milestones, and empower people to feel confident and seen. I’ve come to realize that photography is my God-given gift—one that allows me to uplift others by capturing their light, joy, and authenticity. Whether I’m documenting a corporate event, a personal moment, or a creative portrait, my goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated. With my naturally bubbly personality, I create a fun and relaxed atmosphere on set. If you’re unsure how to pose, don’t worry—I’ll guide you every step of the way. No modeling experience necessary—just bring your true self, and I’ll take care of the rest. I’m excited to work with you and capture something truly special!
Some facts about me:
- Born and raised in Prince George's County, MD
- Vegetarian (I try to eat vegan...try lol)
- My favorite color is red (Oooo-Op to my sorors!)
- I'm fairly tall (5'9.75" to be exact lol that helps me get better angles of you)
My photography journey began in high school, where I earned the nickname “Paparazzi” for always capturing every moment. What started as a passion project with a starter DSLR in college has grown into a full-fledged career. My clients fly me out domestically and internationally to document their stories mainly corporate events. In addition to commercial and portrait work, I’m also an exhibiting artist. My debut solo photography exhibit, Black Joy, was featured on local and national news outlets and showcased stories of beauty, resilience, and cultural pride. I’ve since continued exhibiting my work in galleries and public art spaces in Washington, D.C, NYC, and Kentucky. Whether I’m working in the boardroom, at a beach resort, or in an art gallery, I bring the same intention: to create meaningful imagery that honors your story. My energy is bubbly and warm, and I specialize in making even the most camera-shy clients feel at ease.
I'm also an avid traveler and would love to travel to capture your event. I've been to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Hawaii, Mexico (Cancun, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta), Cuba, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Maldives, Dubai, Belize, and Greece (Mykonos and Santorini), and South Africa. Feel free to ask me more about my travels, I would love to share! I love my Goldendoodle/Labradoodle mix named BlaQue. Let me know if you want to bring your dog to the shoot.
